The geographical location of Sudan qualifies it to be regionally classified to several sides, e.g. Nile Basin countries, Arab countries, East African countries etc. This fact qualified UNESCO-CWR to play effective role in the regional networks. The activities of all these networks are geared towards confidence building, change of experience, exchange of data and creation of vision for managing the available water resource, increase the efficiency of its use and optimize its consumption to reduce conflicts and frictions especially in areas of high population increase and meager water resources.
